CCSF is in a cycle of waste and mismanagement that threatens closure. I'm running for the Board of Trustees to fix it. Education is what allowed my family to give back to this City.

My parents came to City College as students, both the first in their families to graduate. That’s why I’ve spent my career advising more than 30 community colleges across California on funding and facilities.

As the lead on finance at the state’s affordable housing lender I’ve worked to help CalHFA earn its highest credit rating in 50 years. I’ll bring the same discipline that turned around a state agency’s finances to turn ours around.

Background

I grew up going to school in San Francisco watching my parents build a life in the Bay after coming through City College as students, both the first in their families to graduate college. For my family, access to affordable higher education allowed us to put down roots and contribute to the City we call home.

Experience

I’ve spent my career advising more than 30 community colleges across California on funding and facilities, sharing what I’ve learned with chancellors and presidents. I now lead finance at the state’s affordable housing lender, helping CalHFA earn its highest credit rating in 50 years, saving Californians $120 million, and helping thousands of low and moderate-income Californians into homes they could afford.

Why City College?

CCSF is in a cycle of waste and mismanagement that threatens closure. I’m running for Community College Board to fix it. City College is losing money – costing San Franciscans more than $30 million. Families and students can’t afford for it to fail. All San Franciscans deserve a world class City College.
